A few days ago, the XIII International Exhibition of Flowers, Plants, Equipment and Technologies in Floriculture and Landscape Design “FlowersExpo-2023” successfully ended. The exhibition took place at the Crocus Expo IEC from September 12 to 14.

The FlowersExpo exhibition is a successful communication and marketing B2B project, an important event of the year for all players in the Russian flower and plant market. This year it not only retained its high status, but also increased the stability of market participants by one opportunity, expanding its area and geography. The number of exhibitors and exhibition space increased by 30% compared to last year. The exhibition area reached 13,000 sq.m.

According to the exhibition audit conducted at the exhibition this year, 306 companies from Russia and 18 foreign countries took part in the exhibition. Of these, 50 companies took part in the exhibition for the first time. For the first time, such exotic countries as Oman, India and Malaysia were presented.

The main participants of the exhibition were Russian companies, key participants in their market segment, presenting products from all thematic sections of the exhibitions.

There were a lot of flowers at the flower show again. The number of Russian and foreign companies, producers and sellers of cut flowers presenting their products has increased. You decorate with magnificent works of florists and representatives of various species and various cut flowers. The producers and sellers of cuttings at the nearest foreign representative office were from Ecuador. The number of Ecuadorian companies has reached 22. Almost 50% of the pre-pandemic level.

Thus, the section of goods for gardening and horticulture received further development, where 24 new companies presented their products to support the exhibition participants.

The most important event of the FlowersExpo 2023 exhibition was a rich and vibrant program on current issues of business development, restoration of logistics and partnerships.

Over the course of three days, 68 diverse events were held at seven venues, with a unique inspiring business program of the exhibition, which featured more than 100 speakers, not only representatives of exhibitors, but also invited experts. Conferences, round tables, seminars, presentations, shows, competitions, fashion shows and awards, exhibitions and other events were sold out.

Such significant events of the exhibition’s business program as the “Green Retail” conference were held with great income and enthusiasm. Garden Center-2023" and "FlowersCONF-2023", where a total of 320 specialists took part. The theme of ecology was actively discussed at the exhibition. The Day of the Association of Planting Material Manufacturers, the INSPIRO conference and other equally interesting and important business events were successfully held. In total, more than 3,500 specialists took part in them. Based on the results of the round table on the topic “We need more flowers,” a hearing was held in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, where the issue of developing floriculture in Russia will be discussed. Regional meetings, international meetings, signing of contracts and agreements took place at the exhibitors' stands.

The key floristic events were the Russian Florist Award, in which 44 florists from different cities of Russia and Belarus took part, and the Russian Florist Championship. The title of Russian Champion 2023 is decided by the jury awarding Victoria Gavrilina.

For the first time at the exhibition there was: an exhibition of works by creative florists “Dialogues. Generation 6”, organizer of the championship of the professional community “Platform”. For the second time, the Green Retail Awards were presented to the best garden center and the best garden center supplier. For the first time she was awarded the “Crystal Rose” prize at the FlowersExpo exhibition. The FlowersExpo BOX, a unique handmade box with full-size products from exhibitors, was drawn several times; 19 companies took part in filling it.

All this and much more was seen by 12,513 visitors from all regions of Russia and foreign countries, including 1,900 specialists who viewed the exhibition online on the website www.flowers-expo.ru. The legal registration sponsor is Florexim, a logistics or wholesale company, flower supplier from different countries.

The international exhibition is held annually under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and with the support of professional associations: the National Guild of Florists, the Greenhouses of Russia Association, the Association of Planting Material Manufacturers, the Russian Association of Flower Growers.

In the context of the transformation of the country's economy, at a special level of the exhibition, as the largest industry platform for business communication, studying market changes, meeting with clients and searching for new partners, Dvoinye A.V., Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian Industry, greeted the guests and participants of the exhibition politics and environmental management of the Russian Federation, Razin V. A., Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Sitnikov A. V., deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, president of the Association "Greenhouses of Russia", Dybova E. N., vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The exhibition was covered by 53 different media; journalists from 15 publications and 5 TV channels worked at the exhibition. During all the days of the exhibition, the idea about it was expanded by its own channel FlowersExpo.TV, which broadcast daily from the studio and from the exhibition stands, introducing everyone to important business events, interesting people and exciting events.
